The Patchogue Kiwanis Club awarded two Kaiser Fellowships recently at its 74th Installation Banquet held at Lombardi’s on the Bay in Patchogue. Making the presentation is outgoing President, Robert Walch (left) who also received the honor a year ago. Displaying his Kaiser medallion is Walter Ladick, Jr (next from the left) who is accompanied by his wife of 48 years, RoseMarie. Walter is a Past Distinguished President 40 year member of the club and also a Diamond Hixson Fellowship Awardee. J. Glen Charvat (right) is a Past Distinguished Past President 20 year member and also a Hixson Fellowship Awardee. Glen is accompanied by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl. Not in the picture are the other two Kaiser awardees of the club, Past President, Ken Picard and the club’s first Kaiser Awardee, New York District Gov-Elect, Albert E Norato, Jr.. The prestigious Fellowship which is named after Anton J Kaiser who was a New York Kiwanis District Governor and then served as President of Kiwanis International, is a designation awarded after a donation to the New York District Foundation. It is a source of funds supporting Kamp Kiwanis and the Pediatric Trauma Centers throughout New York State.
