The race which starts at 6:00PM is a Long Island Track & Field Grand Prix Series event and is certified by USA Track & Field. The race will commence at River Walk on Clare Rose Blvd and finishes at Briarcliffe College after winding through Patchogue streets around Westlake. The event offers many cash awards for multiple categories. door prizes and musical entertainment.

Chairman Harding stated that it is a great honor for Patchogue to be
sanctioned as a Grand Prix event and looks for 1,000 participants to be involved. He indicated that he was hoping that the community would receive the event with great enthusiasm and cheer on the runners as they competed through our streets. He added that he hoped that residents would be considerate and patient while some of the streets will be closed for a short period of time.
