Annually, members of the Patchogue Kiwanis hold a lakeside barbeque for participants of Camp Paquatuck, a Rotary Camp in near by Moriches, Long Island New York. The camp which is similar to Kamp Kiwanis in Taberg, New York allows a local hands-on interaction with members of the Kiwanis Club. In addition, the Barn Boys, a local club which restores classic cars, displayed their vehicles for the campers to inspect and enjoy. Under the chairmanship of Kiwanian Kenneth Kasper, 25 members and their families prepared and served Kielbasa and Steak to the campers and their councilors. Two 50 year members joined the party and enjoyed a special treat of Root Beer floats. The Patchogue Kiwanis Club also sent 11 local kids to Kamp Kiwanis. Last year, the Patchogue Club completed construction of a cabin at Kamp Kiwanis allowing a greater experience for campers from all over the New York District.
