Under the absentee and illness plagued leadership of project chairman of Edward Hughes, the Kiwanis Club, the Patchogue Medford Key Club and Venture Crew all joined together to flip Flapjacks, sell TV Raffle tickets, and auction off Sports Memorabilia. The breakfast was held in the Patchogue Fire Department meeting room as a Kiwanis One effort which resulted in generation of funds for the club’s sponsored youth. McPeak’s Assisted Living Home provided all the food materials from which were artfully fashioned and flavorful flapjacks were flipped to the culinary delight of the attendees. The leadership style of the chairman is still under scrutiny but the results were outstanding.
